Goodwin William Staffing is looking for experienced Carpenters for work in Grottoes, Va. who will be responsible for carpentry work in Custom Residential Construction. Ideal candidates will have worked in residential construction or on custom building projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Read and comprehend plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements and instructions
· Perform miscellaneous hands-on tasks across most trades for the benefit of the project schedule or budget
· General understanding of construction practices and safety procedures
· Use of hand and power tools to ensure the accuracy of completed work
· Rough framing of walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs as well as skills with finish carpentry tasks
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour, DOE
Typical Schedule: 8 hour Shift; Monday - Friday
· 3+ years of carpentry experience preferred
· Ability to read and understand Architectural plan sets, blueprints, and drawings
· Technical understanding of residential construction including building codes and best building practices
· General understanding of residential construction trade sequencing
· High-end remodel work experience preferred
